First Album in a Long Time Without Any Skips

I’ve been listening to this album, Loss by Gaerea. Every single song on this album has hit me hard. From Luminary to Stardust, every track is just… incredible. I favorited every single track one the album, and I even favorited the entire album. I can’t remember the last time I did that.

Submerged, Hellbound, Uncontrolled, Phoenix, Cyclone, Nomad, and even the album ender, Stardust, All of it is just so good. There’s something about the composition, the lead singer’s voice, and the way they mix silence with explosive moments. It’s powerful, raw, and I don’t even know how to describe it properly. It’s just really good.

It’s not like everything else I have listen to recently. I’m still working my way through Lamb of God’s discography, and this is something else entirely. But I can’t quite put my finger on what makes it so special. It’s heavy, but also deep and somehow vulnerable. There’s a lot of emotion in there.

I’m not really a lyrics guy, so I can’t speak to that, but the music itself is just striking. I’m really struck by how great this album is. If you’re into metal or just great music, give it a listen. You won’t regret it.
